L `BIQ Interview with Paris

new post New Year. Imagine starting with a travel guide commented Departure and arrival in Italy, but I still decided to take a bit of time for the powder soften the words.
The choice of post start 2011 is: `s interview BIQ of Paris for the release of the legendary CSQ, the Certificate of Selection Quebec, the first big step and the most important document to emigrate to Canada / Quebec.

As I wrote in one of the first post, to get the permanent resident visa to emigrate to Quebec, obtain the CSQ dellÌmmigrazione by the Ministry of Quebec. Quebec has the right to choose its immigrants and the process of selection and approval of the application ends, positively, with the certificate of selection that is "certified" (of course) and for the Belle Province, the candidate counts with the essential requirements for live in the paradise of poutine. The Office for which manages the selection of candidates is Italian in Paris and, except in exceptional cases, the BIQ always requires a meeting before issuing the CSQ. The meeting was held in Paris at the headquarters of the Rue de la Boetie in BIQ. After about 6 months of the `send all documents to the BIQ (Quebec Immigration Bureau), we received a letter of invitation to Paris. Meet at 9:00 `a Tuesday in mid-December . The meeting includes the participation of the candidate `s main carer, but not for minor children.
Day fly to Paris by train, transfer to hotel and visit al BIQ in Rue de la Boetie (dietro e ai Campi Elisi not remotely dal Louvre). Secondo giorno
metro e Iniziative the Sarabande. Da adesso in poi if passed inglese al.
appointment under 0900 H. We did not sleep last night so we were stressed, Clock 6 pm, coffee, final checks of documents and after metro direction BIQ.
We go to home, I say it's for our interview, I present a copy of the mail call, the lady is nice, she asks us wait in the waiting room. The advisor is a man, kind and polite but not friendly.
It goes directly into his office and he quickly explains:
"It will be simple, we will conduct an audit of your passport, originals of your diplomas, your professional experiences, your language skills and if you're ready to live in Quebec. "
Then he starts checking our IDs, we request the originals, work certificates, etc..
That's all that, everything is in order. Why you choose Québec?
What's your name ? (And here the transition to English !!!!!) How old are you? Do You Have Friends in Quebec? What Do They Do? How Many Times Have You Been in Montreal? Tell me
Quebec. What comes to mind (politics, mentality, education, geography, etc.). Tell me what you want. What is it you want for your daughters?
You looked towards the labor market? Etc. "Per tutta
the durata dell` intervista siamo nel suo ufficio rimasti, di fronte a seduta him tesi `e un po dall` CONCERNS atteggiamento serio e molto Formale del funzionario.
Al ends Colloquio del (40 minutes), the official explained the selection process and evaluation criteria. On that occasion he informed us that our receipt of our dossier documents had not reached the points needed to be accepted. The cause of the failure to achieve the minimum score was our age. Nevertheless, given the CV, the presence in the household of 2 small children and the preparation of the dossier, we had been summoned for an audit. During the conversation we had shown a capacity that allowed us to obtain the CSQ. At that point, since the release of the CSQ was exceptional, our CSQ would be signed by the Director of the Department and there would have been delivered in the early afternoon, at the beginning of information session to be held at the BIQ to selected candidates.

After the moment of panic, born to the debut of the explanation, we relaxed and we left office, we walked to the Louvre and we are immersed in art until 14.30 , start time of the seance "Vivre au Québec" in which we participated, thinking they were already in Montreal!
BIQ The officials, at the entrance of the meeting room, gave us the 4 CSQ in the original, signed and stamped. The meeting lasted a couple hours.

Tips born from the interview: the dossier prepared well, be prepared to honestly explain the reasons for your choice in French and English, find out about Canada and Quebec, the labor market and on your professional marketability. Be calm and be honest. The objective of the interview is to understand if you are responsible, aware and determined in your choice and it is important that you understand it before you leave.
Good 2011 at all.
